Hotel Grimsborgir is a five-star hotel located 70 km east of Reykjavik in the heart of the Golden Circle, nestled on the bank of river Sogid surrounded by stunning landscape. Some of the highlights of South Iceland’s nature, geography, and history are within easy reach.

The concept

Accommodation

The hotel consists of 16 buildings with a reception, restaurant, event and meeting facilities and accommodation for 260 guests. The hotel structure is truly unique with accomomdation in 6 different categories in Superior rooms, Junior Suites, Gallery suites, Suites, two bedroom apartments, and 200 m2 Deluxe Apartments. All rooms come with balcony or terrace and access to some of the 39 geothermal hot tubs on site, both private and shared.

Restaurant/Bar

Hotel Grimsborgir has a large restaurant with a broad a la carte menu with both Icelandic and international dishes. The restaurant seats 200 guests and in the summer it is possible to sit outside on the beautiful terrace. The bar is situated in the hotel lounge where we offer happy hour every day.
